Matthew 7 vs 16-20 says

16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

This biblical text is advising us to focus on the actions or character is far superior than to focus on looks. This sums up dog breeding, or does it?

For us it does, but there are some that prematurely move in other directions when it comes to the concept of pure breed dogs. The Cane Corso is a breed where some people, especially new unlearned breeders seeking an edge on other older more accomplished breeder, place emphasis on dna testing to prove the validity of their Pyrenees of their Cane Corso dogs.
Dr. Paolo Breber, the cane corso father/enthusiast/geneticist was asked by Mike over at Outlaw the following question in Blue and Dr. Breber reply to the question is in Red.

OCC: 3. While on the subject of DNA testing I have one more question. DNA testing for breed purity is also becoming popular in the U.S. These same testing companies seem to suggest to people that DNA testing can currently be used for breed purity testing. Only upon closer examination they do admit that the testing currently offered may only be useful to help identify the genetic makeup of mixed breed dogs and cannot be used to confirm breed purity of a full blooded dog. They admit that the only test that can currently be used for a full blooded dog is a parental test which can only identify the sire and dam of a puppy in question. (a link from one of the major DNA Testing companies explaining this is included below). My question is, does correct assessment of phenotype (physical characteristics), and temperament remain the only way to identify a true traditional Cane Corso.

DR Breber:  DNA testing is significant only in the case of a wild species. Canine breeds are the product of human culture. Function, temperament, look and constant transmission of these to the progeny remain the only way to identify a canine breed. Who cares what the DNA shows?

Feel Free To also click the link above given by Mike over at outlaws and read the disclaimer to the dna Testing company for more information.
Their disclaimers often admit to you that if your dog shows up have genetic kinship to other breeds that you should not go beat up your breeder but go by the breeds kennel club registry/dna database. And another important concept to the dna testing is this, they will not help you in court and their testing will not hold in court if you decide to sue your breeder for the test results coming back reading more than one so called breed.

Some seasoned breeders that frequently use certain studs utilize dna database storage in order to store the genetic make up of their studs which most reliable when determining the inheritance of your puppy. This sort of testing is called parental dna testing. And this is the only method that we can almost 100 percent support at this day and time.

A very common dna testing company is named Wisdom DNA Testing. It is a company that was first called Mars Veterinary which was established in 2005. The First wisdom panel came in 2007 and in 2016 the company Mars Veterinary was officially switched to wisdom health. These dates are very important to the Cane Corso breed because that means that the older dogs before the wisdom was designed were never stored so that today’s breeders can compare their modern import genetic material to the original dogs of southern Italy even those discovered by Mike Sottile in 1980’s.
Here’s another laugh for when considering dna companies such as Wisdom Dna Testing. Who are they and where did they come from.

If you trace the company wisdom back to Mars Veterinary Health it goes back to 1911 to a man named Franklin Clarence Mars who was a butter Creme candy seller who sold candy from his house. In modern times they may even would call Mr. Mars a “back yard candy man.” Clarence first introduction to the pet industry was in 1935 when his company took over a British Dog Can Food company called Chappie followed by a cat food company named “KiteKat” in 1939. This was when Mars Pet Food Company was founded. Now stick with me so that we can get you up to speed as to how a back yard candy seller went in the pet world and also used this money to then create wisdom dna testing. Before we get back to Mars Veterinary waiting over to wisdom dna panel in 2017 let’s also add another company that the Mars company added on to its roster in the 1960’s.

“According to Wikipedia”

In 1968, Mars took over Kal Kan Foods of Los Angeles.[4]

In 1988, Kal Kan Foods changed the name of its dog food to Pedigree, the name Mars used to sell dog food outside the United States. The brand Chappie is still used in the United Kingdom. The next year, Mars applied their worldwide branding of Whiskasto their cat food branding.[5]

So there you go; Mars the owner of Pedigree Dog Food gave you your wisdom. Oops I meant your wisdom panel. Wow just wow. Here is a dog food company that dog advisory said,

“Pedigree is a grain-inclusive dry dog food using a moderate amount of named and unnamed meat and bone meals as its dominant source of animal protein, thus earning the brand 1 star.”

Strongly Not recommended to Read more upon pedigree “https://www.dogfoodadvisor.com/dog-food-reviews/pedigree-dog-food-dry/.”

With all of the cancers ect linked to diet you would think that this mega company would catch on to the new wave health trend that everyone is starting to push for. But hey I guess some people main focus is dashing for the cash even if it means killing the customers that make you wealthy.

This is definitely a big company but since when did you know for New Wave To back down to someone because of size? Once again we were taught by the greatest to not want the “biggest dog” and instead get the “baddest dog.”
So there you have it; a Back yard Candy Seller followed the American dream and expanded to the pet industry and now they are telling pet people that their dogs will have behavior issues based on their testing ect. Or that their dogs are not original based on a recent database they they have created after the Italians sent a plethora of boxer/beorbel Corso’s. If you take the time to ask hard working truthful breeder you will find that there are often littermates that are dna tested and one will come back Cane Corso 100 percent and the bother will come back Cane Corso 60 percent.
